Silvia Cardenas is the sister to our friend and coffee producer, Lisandro. They are Colombian coffee producers in the coffee town of Acevedo. The Cardenas family have been growing coffee for three generations.
This coffee is a unique variety select of Ombligon. The coffee variety is unique and thought to be from an heirloom Ethiopian coffee cherry, though it is most commonly found in Huila Colombia. The Ombligon variety creates a unique vanilla, plum & tea like floral finish.
All of our Colombian coffee comes from Huila. The department of Huila, Colombia is home to some of the best coffee in the world. We purchase from many areas within Huila.
