The Cardenas family has been growing coffee in Acevedo Colombia for many years. The father Omar is proud to have helped start the specialty coffee production in the rugged hills of Acevedo. The family primarily grows Pink Bourbon coffee, but each of the family members also have their own small farms. This particular lot is variety specific blend of all of the family's coffee.
The son, Lisandro also helped create the Genesis Exporting group. In a country divided by the working class and the upper class, it's significant for a group of farmers and coffee professionals to create their own exporting group. We're proud of what they've created and aim to support them by buying their coffee.
All of our Colombian coffee comes from Huila. The department of Huila, Colombia is home to some of the best coffee in the world. We purchase from many areas within Huila.
